It is truly unusual. It is a modern hotel with all the creature comforts, while at the same time feeling very traditional. The mattress is on the floor which is made up of what I'd call tatami mats and together this makes for a comfortable night's sleep. The breakfast buffet is small but sufficient. There's street parking right in front of the hotel. The front desk is closed at night, so you must check-in before the staff leaves.

This is a very special hotel. It's stylish, ultra-modern meets traditional Asian, and the result is delightful. The design of the rooms is sleek, and with views of the tombs, which are right outside the door, what more could you want? The location is perfect. There's even the modern art museum OAR across the street. The staff are so warm and inviting, and service is excellent. If you slept on a thin pad on a hanok floor previously and found it too hard, and you're worried that your bed here will be uncomfortable, fear not. This is a thick futon-type mattress atop a tatami mat. You'll sleep like a baby. We loved this hotel and would happily stay here again and recommend it to others.

(If I had a suggestion, it would be that perhaps function should pay a bigger role over design in two areas: the tub and bathroom tiles. The giant bathtub takes forever to fill part way, and by then, it's luke warm at best, so, while it looks stunning, it's not practical. The bathroom floor tiles are very slippery, so a different type should have been selected.)

Jest MEGA! Pokoje są prześliczne, bardzo czyste i posiadają wszystkie hotelowe udogodnienia (suszarka, ręczniki, szczoteczki do zębów, czajnik, kawiarka, lodówka...) Łazienka to chyba najlepsza jaką widziałam w życiu, z przestrzenią do relaksu 🤯😍. Śniadanie... jajeczniczka, kielbaski przepyszne, owoce, herbatka.. no pyszka wszystko i miód na serce po ciągłym jedzeniu ryżu i słodkich bułek. Na koniec dali nam jeszcze jogurt z truskawkami ❤️.

One of the nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed into!

The first thing you notice when arriving to this incredible hotel is how nice all of the staff is. Runned by a family, all of them are so nice and attentive, always doing their best to make you feel like at home.

As for the hotel, the whole design of it is lovely, mixing a traditional hanok/asian style (with matresses on a tatami, which is such a unique experiencie) with a modern style and all type of facilities (Nespresso machine, a speaker in each room and beautiful furniture, as well as Le Labo soap). Also the rooms are very spacious with lots of natural light coming through the windows, with views to the park and the Tumuli Tombs, and a big space in the bathroom to take a bath and just relax.

Breakfast was also very nice, in the cozy cafeteria on the lower floor, with the staff always attentive and variety of food to chose from.

The location is also perfect, in the middle of the city, with everything at reach by walking.

Our stay at this hotel was so charming and perfect, thanks to the lovely staff that even offered to take us to Bulguksa in their own car, and showed us wonderful hidden spots of Gyeongju, that I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit Gyeongju, as it will make your stay there so enjoyable.

Incredible Hotel in Gyeongju, probably the BEST one in this beatifull city.

Hotel managed by a family that treats you like part of its own family. They are super attentive kind, helpfull and always there smiling to help you.

The hotel IS simply gorgeous. The rooms are incredibly beatifull making you feel like you are living in a traditional korean House but luxury at the same time.

The sorroudings of the hotel and its location IS perfect just next to the tombs and the museum as well as the city center.

I Will without a doubt reccomend this hotel to everyone!

What an amazing hotel! Thre rooms, staff, breakfast and location were just absolutely amazing. All the great things in Gyeongju are on a walking distance. Very clean rooms, great amenities and a service with a smile. Would highly recommend!

One of the most amazing experiences I’ve had in Korea! The room was awesome and the staff were even better! I really enjoyed all the amenities and the proximity to local attractions. Also, the room was one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever seen!! Would definitely come back!

Un hôtel de rêve pour un séjour idyllique 😍
Situé en bordure du site de Daereungwon l'hôtel offre depuis les chambres une vue imprenable sur les tumulus entourés d'arbres. Il bénéficie également d'un roof top qui permet de profiter du paysage.
Les chambres sont spacieuses, lumineuses, confortables et calmes. La décoration est très soignée : bois blond, tatamis et futons pour la chambre; bois blond, pierres et céramique pour la salle de bains. Mention spéciale pour le bain format XXL (idéal pour se délasser apres une longue journée) et pour l'attention portée aux détails (café de l'excellent torréfacteur local Coffee Place, enceinte Bluetooth).
Le petit-déjeuner buffet est complet et varié : pains, confitures, céréales, œufs brouillés, champignons sautés, saucisses, soupe, salade, café, thé, jus d'orange, fruits frais.
L'équipe est accueillante et attentionnée 😊
